Wild West Shootout’s return to Central Arizona Raceway set for Jan. 10-18
Six Nights of Racing Highlight 20th Anniversary of the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout
CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (Jan. 5, 2026) — Making its long-awaited return to the desert, the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts will kick off the 20th running of the event this coming weekend at FK Rod Ends Central Arizona Raceway presented by Low Voltage Solutions.
The 2026 Wild West Shootout will feature six nights of racing action on January 10, 11, 14, 16, 17, and 18, with Super Late Models, Modifieds, and X-Mods taking center stage. Two practice nights are scheduled for January 9 and 13. A full schedule of gate times for each race night will be posted on WWS social media.

Super Late Models will compete for four $10,000-to-win / $600-to-start features on January 11, 14, 16, and 17, while the January 10 opener and January 18 finale will feature a $25,000-to-win / $1,000-to-start purse. The Penske Racing Shocks 25-To-25 presented by Schaeffer’s Oil returns for its second consecutive year. The Rio Grande Waste Services Lap Leader Loot awards $500 per lap to the leader of both the opening and final events.
The Modifieds will compete for $1,000-to-win on January 14 and 16, $2,000-to-win on January 10, 11, and 17, and a $3,000-to-win finale on Sunday, January 18. X-Mods will race for $500-to-win on January 14 and 16, and $1,000-to-win on January 10, 11, 17, and 18. Complete payouts for all divisions are available at https://www.wildwestshootout.net/payout/.
Each night will feature the Black Diamond Race Cars Super Late Models presented by Malvern Bank, the Mesilla Valley Transportation A-Mods, and the Shocker Hitch X-Mods presented by Border Tire divisions.
Finally, each division will vie for the miniseries points championship and its associated point fund.
The 2026 Wild West Shootout runs Jan. 10, 11, 14, 16, 17, and 18, featuring six nights of racing for Super Late Models, Modifieds, and X-Mods. A loaded roster of Super Late Model talent is already committed, including former Wild West Shootout champions Bobby Pierce, Jonathan Davenport, and Brandon Sheppard, plus other national touring stars like Ricky Thornton Jr., Hudson O’Neal, Tyler Erb, Ethan Dotson, Brandon Overton, Mike Marlar, Ryan Gustin, Garrett Alberson, and many more.
