Round #3 of the Wild West Shootout Moved to Thursday, Jan. 9

Open Practice Scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 7 from 4 - 8pm MT

VADO, N.M. (Jan. 7, 2025) — A cold front moving through the area has forced officials with the 19th annual Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts at FK Rod Ends Vado (N.M.) Speedway Park presented by Low Voltage Solutions to shuffle the upcoming schedule.

First, the practice for today - Tuesday, Jan. 7 - has been bumped up to 4 - 8 p.m. MT.

Next, due to chances of precipitation paired with high winds the racing program originally scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 8 has been moved to Thursday, Jan. 9.

Courtesy of AM-1 Roofing, grandstand general admission will be free on Thursday, Jan. 9. Pit passes are $45.

The night’s action on Thursday, Jan. 9 is headlined by Super Late Models ($10,000-to-win), Modifieds ($1,000-to-win), and X-Mods ($500-to-win).

The pit gate opens at 2 p.m. MT with the grandstand gate opening at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 4:30 p.m. and racing action to follow.
