Rio Grande Waste Services Returns as Wild West Shootout Title Sponsor

VADO, N.M. (August 15, 2024) — For the third-straight year Rio Grande Waste Services will be the title sponsor of the Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts.

The 19th running of the event is set for Jan. 4 – 12, 2025 at FK Rod Ends Vado (N.M.) Speedway Park.

Thanks to support from Rio Grande Waste Services, as well as Penske Racing Shocks and Schaeffer Oil, the Super Late Model portion of the week’s festivities now include a $25,000-to-win/$1,000-to-start opener followed by four $10,000-to-win / $600-to-start programs before concluding with a $25,000-to-win / $1,000-to-start finale.

“We as a team and myself personally are blessed with another year of working with and representing all of our great sponsors, and as has been the case for many years now, Larry (Henk) at Rio Grande Waste Services is leading the field,” said Wild West Shootout Marketing Director, Jason Babyak. “Seeing Larry at the event night after night and year after year with a smile on his face lets me and all of us know, our efforts are not only appreciated but working.

“Huge events like this are not possible without sponsors like Larry. I am doubly blessed personally living near Larry, so we get to see each other away from the track and continue to strengthen our friendship as well.”

As well as being the title sponsor for the event, Rio Grande Waste Services will once again sponsor many additional bonuses throughout the miniseries. Superlatives sponsored by the Larry Henk led company include a $1,000 bonus for the “Shock the Clock Challenge” to the overall Super Late Model Fast Time (in qualifying) for the miniseries and a $500 bonus for the “Hard Charger” Super Late Model for each of the six nights.

The 19th running of the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts features six complete programs for Super Late Models, Modifieds, and X-Mods on Jan. 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, and 12.

Over $350,000 in prize money will be on the line during the 19th Annual Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts on Jan. 4 – 12 at FK Rod Ends Vado Speedway Park.

Each night finds the Dirt Track Bank Super Late Models presented by Black Diamond Race Cars, Mesilla Valley Transportation / Border Tire Modifieds presented by Rancho Milagro, and ShockerHitch.com X-Mods presented by Border Tire competing in action.

Additionally, an open practice session is slated for both January 3 and January 7.

Last but not least, each division will compete for a miniseries point’s championship and accompanying point fund.

In 2024, the six-race miniseries saw 181 competitors from across North America competing in at least one event.
