Mega Event Set for January 7, 8, 11, 13, 14, & 15, 2023 at FK Rod Ends Vado Speedway Park

VADO, N.M. (December 5, 2022) — Gorsuch Performance Solutions is set to continue its sponsorship of the nightly Super Late Model Pole Award for the fourth straight year at the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts on Jan. 7-15 at FK Rod Ends Vado Speedway Park.

However, the Dirt Track Bank Super Late Model driver who pulls the pole position for each night’s feature during the Schaeffer Oil Redraw will receive a richer prize in 2023. In past years the lucky recipient received a $100 bonus, but new for the upcoming edition of the mega miniseries, the driver who draws the pole position will receive a Gorsuch Performance Solutions Max Air 6-Blade Fan, valued at $209.

“When Travis (Gorsuch) told me that he wanted to change up the prize for the Gorsuch Performance Solutions Pole Award for 2023 I was all ears, and when he told me that he wanted to give away one of their state-of-the-art fans each night, I absolutely loved the idea. This more than doubles the nightly value of a Super Late Model driver drawing the pole position for the feature,� noted Event General Manager, Ben Shelton. “Gorsuch Performance Solutions is yet another example of a company, who goes out of their way to support our miniseries each year, and I’m very grateful for their support.�

With each package comes a complimentary, free one-day pit pass upgrade to be used on the day of the ticketholder’s preference.

The mega miniseries features six days of racing spanning January 7-15, 2023 with Super Late Models, Modifieds, and X-Mods contesting complete programs each day.

Over $320,000 in prize money will be on the line during the 17^th Annual Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts. Additionally, over $317,000 in potential bonus money has been posted. The event includes six complete programs for three divisions.

The posted bonuses include the Wehrs Machine Modified Five-Or-More Challenge, which posts a $15,000 bonus for any driver, who can win five or more features in the Modified division. Meanwhile, the Arizona Differential X-Mod Four-Or-More Challenge offers a $2,500 bonus for any X-Mod driver who can claim at least four victories during the miniseries.

Additionally, the 2023 edition of the Penske Racing Shocks Paydirt Jackpot offers a $300,000 bonus for any Super Late Model driver who can win all six nights. The bonus program also includes a $100,000 incentive for five wins or a $25,000 bonus for four miniseries victories.

Each night finds the Dirt Track Bank Super Late Models presented by Black Diamond Race Cars, Mesilla Valley Transportation/ Border Tire Modifieds presented by Rancho Milagro, and ShockerHitch.com X-Mods presented by Barnett Harley Davidson competing in action.

Additionally, an open practice session is slated for both January 6 and January 10.

Last but not least, each division will compete for a miniseries point’s championship and accompanying point fund.
