Shaw Trucking Backs $15,000-To-Win Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout Finale on Jan. 19

SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. (Oct. 25, 2019) — The 2020 Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts that runs from Jan. 11-19 at FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway will conclude in record-breaking fashion thanks to Shaw Trucking in East Bethel, Minn.

Shaw Trucking is returning as the title sponsor of the six-racing mid-winter motorsports meet’s grand Super Late Model finale, a 50-lap feature on Sun., Jan. 19, that offers a $15,000 first-place prize and $1,000 to start. It marks the largest, single race payoff in the history of the event overseen by California promoter Chris Kearns.

The hefty winner’s purse to close out January’s Super Late Model action in the Midwest is made possible by Don Shaw of Ham Lake, Minn., the owner of the Upper Midwest trucking company bearing his name. Shaw, the 2017 WISSOTA Late Model weekly champion and a three-time Super Late Model feature winner in the Wild West Shootout, will also compete in the Super Late Model events at the 3/8-mile oval.

“Don Shaw is another great example of someone who not only races at the Wild West Shootout but also sponsors it, Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout event manager Ben Shelton said of Shaw, whose WWS feature wins came in 2013 and ’18 (two). “He’s been a long-time supporter of the event and has allowed us to grow the Super Late Model finale to now pay $15,000 to win. It’s really cool to see competitors like Don reinvesting into both the present and future growth of this miniseries.

The 2019 Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout Super Late Model finale was a dramatic affair won by Ricky Weiss of Headingley, Manitoba. The Canadian earned $14,000 after inheriting the lead on the final lap when his chassis builder and mentor Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, Tenn., clipped a lapped car that and hit the wall.

Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout officials recently announced that online sales of single- and multi-day tickets have begun for the popular miniseries, which will pay out over $200,000 in purses over six nights of Super Late Model, Modified and X-Mod racing with tripleheaders are set for Jan. 11, 12, 15, 17, 18 and 19. Fans, can pick up their advanced tickets by visiting www.wildwestshootout.net/schedule/, and it’s worth noting that an adult, advanced six-day package gets a free one-day pit pass upgrade along with a free seat cushion.

The Super Late Model portion of the miniseries will once again boast the Keyser Quarter-Million Challenge, a lucrative program that offers a $250,000 bonus for sweeping all six features; $100,000 for winning five; $25,000 for capturing four; and $10,000 for claiming three. A driver able to pull off the feat of sweeping the races would depart Arizona with over $293,000.

Fans and competitors planning trips to FK Rod Ends Arizona Speedway can also now book rooms at the Wild West Shootout’s official hotel, Hyatt Place Phoenix Gilbert in Gilbert, Ariz. Located approximately 20 minutes from the track, a $119 per night room rate for king or two-queen rooms is available for WWS attendees who call 1-888-591-1234 or visit www.HyattPlaceGilbert.com and use the code G-WILD by Dec. 17.
