Bakersfield Karting Experience setting new heights!

Kevin Montgomery Phoenix, Ariz. (January 2nd, 2017) – The bar for the Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout Presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts continues to be elevated as the event organizers strive to make the January event a unique and remarkable experience for racers and race fans alike.

 

The Bakersfield Karting Experience shares that same quest and joins the Wild West Shootout with a multiple year sponsorship that will increase the winner check to $12,000 for the Black Diamond/Club 29 Super Late Model’s Presented by and M&W Transport on the final night of the Wild West Shootout.

 

The 2016 Wild West Shootout encountered increased purses and championship bonuses for all three divisions along with the addition of the $250,000 Keyser Quarter Million Dollar Bonus. Last year’s version increased the nightly winners share of the Late Model purse to $5,000 with the finale increasing from $10,000 to $11,000 for the winner.

 

The Black Diamond/Club 29 Super Late Model’s Presented by and M&W Transport will again race for a $5,000 winner check each night as well as a doubled championship points fund, The Keyser Quarter Million and the Bakersfield Karting Experience $12,000 to win Finale.

 

“It is our goal to keep raising the ceiling on this event not only with purses but with racer and fan experience� commented Chris Kearns of the Wild West Shootout.  “It is very important that we provide a unique and fun experience for everyone involved!�

 

The Bakersfield Karting Experience is also setting new heights in the family entertainment experience with the first of its kind with a state of the art family entertainment facility that includes a clay oval.  An indoor karting experience on dirt!  BKE will have something for everyone and will truly set the bar for the family fun experience.

 

Inside BKE you will find Smokey’s Grill and Pub serving up a great menu along with all your favorite drinks.  Smokey’s will be full of fun entertainment such as cornhole, darts, pool tables, shuffleboard and 40 big screen televisions throughout.

The dirt oval track will feature 9hp Karts with a full electronic scoring system as well as kids track for a full family racing experience.  After you get all your racing thrills, head over to the Arcade or the Golf Simulator for more fun.

 

For the RC enthusiasts, Bakersfield Karting Experience, will offer a full service RC Shop and a first of its kind 2-story Rubber Mat RC track.  The state of the art scoring system will announce lap times cross the start/finish line and there is also a Jr. RC Track targeted for 3-6 year olds.

For the first time in the history of the Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts, Arizona Speedway outside Phoenix will host all six nights of racing featuring the best of the best in Black Diamond/Club 29 Super Late Models Presented by M&W Transport, MVT/Border International USRA Modifieds and RHR Swag X-Mods presented by Barnett Harley Davidson all chasing more than $200,000 in prize money.

 

Six-day General Admission tickets for this historical event can be purchased for just $100 giving race fans and opportunity to enjoy all six nights for less than $17 per night. Single day tickets are just $20 with the Sunday $12,000 to win Bakersfield Karting Experience finale being only $25.  Fans that take advantage of the 6-day discounted pass will enjoy the final night of the Wild West Shootout absolutely free.

National Super Late Model star Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, Ga., went head-to-head with Darrell Lanigan of Union, Ky., and Don O’Neal of Martinsville, Ind., in the 2016 Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout as “Superman� picked up half of the mini-series wins with Lanigan reaching victory lane in round five and O’Neal capturing the opening round and night four of the series. Davenport earned the $11,000 top prize in the finale, launching him to the Black Diamond/Club 29 Super Late Model Championship Presented by and M&W Transport.
Iowa’s Todd Shute topped the 2016 Mesilla Valley Transportation/Border International USRA Modified Wild West Shootout championship while Bloomer, Wisconsin’s Grant Southworth captured the RHR Swag X-Mod Championship presented by Barnett Harley Davidson.

 

More than 160 of the top cars and drivers from across the continent will take to Arizona’s Speedway 3/8-mile oval over the six-day event that begins on Sat., Jan. 7, with the Wild West Shootout opener and concludes with the $12,000 Bakersfield Karting Experince finale on Sun., Jan. 15. Complete nights of racing will take place Sat., Jan. 7, Sun., Jan. 8, Wed., Jan. 11, Fri., Jan. 13, Sat., Jan. 14, and Sun., Jan. 15. Saturday and Sunday races will go green at 5 p.m. with Wednesday and Friday events starting at 7 p.m.
